Things St. George is also patron saint of that should be included in the subversion:

Boy Scouts; butchers; herpes; lepers/leprosy; sheep; shepherds; skin diseases; skin rashes; soldiers; syphilis

Given that the Giant Microbes plush toys now provide us with a 3-D 'how to' scale model of certain costumes, I consider it vital that St. George battles an army of giant syphilis, leprosy and herpes germs/microbes/bacteria while simultaneously bestowing holy skin pustules freely upon the populace (any small red candy will do) and rescuing virginal sheep princesses from randy Boy Scouts and...erm...I'm going to go take my pills now, 'kay?

Possibly George could kill the dragon by giving it skin disease/leprosy but the princess will be too disgusted by him and run away.
OR
Dragon/Princess cure George of some of his many ailments and they become friends (for the kiddies don'tcha know).

Either way it should somewhere be emphasised that what with St George's STDs he'll have to practice safe sex. This makes it practically our social responsibility.
